More photos in the ongoing nature reclaims culture series, begun in New England. The process is slower where the climate is dry and the building material stone.

The wall was part of a large monastery, dating from about 1100. The church remains.
The rest were in the Pyrenees, but I have no idea when they were built. Based on village architecture, perhaps the 17th century??
